The British administration of the East African ? of Kenya has been charged with deliberately inciting the population of the ? against Palestinian deportees who are interned in the Cilgil camp. The charge made in a statement distributed to foreign correspondents in Palestine by the Committee of Families of Detainees Deported to Gilgil.
The statement declares that a full-fledged drive is under way in the colony discredit the Jews as murderers and thugs in order to frustrate any attempts to ? life more bearable for the prisonors. It also points out that when the internees ? confined in Eritrea similar incitement among the native troops led to an attack the Jews in Jan., 1946, during which two were killed and fourteen injured.
