The Jewish Agency today appealed to American Jews to make their contributions only to those 10 fund-raising drives for Israel which–in addition to the United Jewish Appeal–have been approved by the Agency. The list was published in New York several days ago.
A spokesman for the Agency also announced that negotiations are now going on for the establishment of a central fund for the Hebrew University, the Weizmann Institute of Science and the Haifa Technion.
