A five-man committee to study the Jewish National Fund and the Keren Hayesod with a view to submitting proposals regarding their future status was appointed today by the Jewish Agency executive. The Committee is composed of two members of the Jewish Agency–Eliahu Dobkin and Moshe Kol–two representatives of the J.N.F., and one of the Keren Hayesod.
Prior to the appointment of the committee, two suggestions were made to the Agency. One urged the maintenance of a status quo regarding the two Zionist fund-raising organizations. The other called for the creation of a central Zionist fund with the Keren Hayesod constituting a holding company for the new fund’s assets while the J.N.F. would continue its land purchasing program as well as fund-raising.
