The series of experimental broadcasts by the Jewish Agency here to Jewish communities throughout the world began last night at 11:30 P.M., Israel time, in Hebrew, Yiddish, English, French and Spanish. The chief objectives of the experimental casts are to find suitable wavelengths and to test reception conditions in various world capitals.
The Jewish Agency has posted listeners in various countries and after the test: casts they will report to officials here. Eliahu Dobkin, Agency immigration chief, declared that the regular broadcasts will begin on Dec. 15, financed by a monthly budget of approximately 10,000 pounds ($28,000.)
