Dr. Israel Goldstein left today for Israel with proposals on the future structure and function of the World Zionist Organization to be submitted to the executive of the Jewish Agency which meets in Jerusalem beginning Wednesday, January 12.
As chairman of a special committee of the Jewish Agency, Dr. Goldstein and his colleagues have spent several months in arriving at a formula for the future activities of the World Zionist Organization and its component bodies. Final action on the recommendations of this committee will be taken at the 23rd World Zionist Congress scheduled to meet in Jerusalem this summer.
Charles Rose, chairman of the United States Central Shekel and Election Board, left for Israel, to confer with the executive of the World Zionist Organization on the course of the current Shekel registration drive and to determine plans for the meeting of the forthcoming World Zionist Congress.
