The unification of Brit Ivrit Olamit–the world union of Hebrew language and culture associations–and the Jewish Agency department for education and culture for the expansion of the Hebrew cultural movement among Jewish communities outside Israel, was announced here today by the two organizations.
The Jewish Agency department will now furnish Hebrew teachers to Jewish communities abroad, will organize Hebrew courses abroad, will set up once a week Hebrew schools and will provide training courses in Israel for teachers from abroad. Both institutions expressed their thanks to Berl Locker, chairman, and Zalman Shazar, member of the Agency executive, for their efforts in behalf of the unification.
