A Jewish Agency official from Israel lectured on the ideals and practical achievements of Zionism before an international congress on regional economics, held in the Palace of Culture in Warsaw several days ago, a Jewish Agency spokesman disclosed today. Avraham Rosenmann, deputy director of the Jewish Agency’s agricultural settlement department, said the Zionist approach to problems of land and society created progressive social forms which have no parallel in the world.
Rosenmann’s audience consisted of 350 participants in the congress from 18 nations representing the East and the West. He spoke at the closing session, in Polish, which was apparently appreciated by the Polish hosts and delegates. Rosenmann placed a wreath on the memorial to the Warsaw Ghetto fighters and, with the other delegates, visited the site of the Auschwitz death camp.
