The extent to which the facilities of the Committee’s Bureau at Tel Aviv is being taxed by German refugees may be judged, according to the report, by the fact that between April and November, 1933, the percentage of German immigrant inquiries increased from less than 20 percent to approximately 70 percent per month.
Of a total of 1,568 inquirers (families) serviced in person and by mail between July and November, 1,023 were Germans. The aggegate capital reported by those inquirers who specified their capital was more than 2,000,000 pounds of which much more than 1,300,000 pounds were possessed by German refugees.
