New proposals for the participation of the Jewish Agency in the forthcoming London talks on Palestine are reported to have been submitted today to British Foreign Secretary Ernest Bevin by Dr. Nahum Goldmann in behalf of the Agency’s executive. British sources indicated that Bevin will issue a reply to these proposals.
Bevin was said to have requested the Jewish Agency, which reportedly has rejected the British invitation, to postpone any further decision until his reply was received. The Agency, it is understood, wants a guarantee that its own plan for the partitioning of Palestine would be discussed at the London conference.
