Exports from Israel to the U.S. during the first seven months of 1951 increased by more than 44 percent over the corresponding period of 1950, according to figures released by the Economic Department of the Jewish Agency here.
Totals were $6,423,000 this year, as compared with $4,440,000 in 1950. Polished diamonds led the list, which also included alcoholic beverages, woolen yarn, apparel, chocolates, books and fruit juices. The increase in exports to the U.S. is in line with the over-all improvement in Israel’s foreign sales.
