The Jewish Agency’s Youth Aliyah Department wants to remove between 3,000 and 4,000 children between the age of 12 and 15 from immigrant work villages to more permanent homes, Moshe Kol, head of the department, declared here today at a press conference. Mr. Kol has come to this country to attend a national annual Youth Aliyah conference which opens tomorrow.
Mr. Kol said that the Agency also wants to establish ten centers for pre-vocational training for children in immigrant camps who are forced to remain in the transient centers because to other facilities exist for them.
