The Jewish Agency’s statement of policy in relation to the United Nations and on the local and international seens was given a mixed reception today by the Hebrew press.

The conservative Haaretz scored the Agency for its “weak” fight against the dissidents who, the newspaper insists, have become a strong political factor in the Palestine situation and have brough about a weakening of the Agency’s authority. “The Agency has undermined its own authority by not acting early enough to eradicate this ugly growth, ” Haaretz said. “This happened at a time when more than ever we need a strong leadership and effective representation.”

The right-wing Haboker and the Mizrachist Hatsofe praised the Agency for not chaning the policy laid down by the World Zionist Congress. The Revisionist Hamashkif said that the santimants voiced at the Agency meeting were not those of the Palestine Jewish community and that only Dr. Abba Hilled Silver showed leadership and “remained true to the ‘activist’ policy.”

Mishmier, organ of the left-wing Hashomer #### Party, attacked Silver for his speech to a General Zionist ?eeting in Tel Aviv during which he said “there are no ‘ extremists or moderates’ in the Zionist movement.”

Addressing a Zionist youth meeting in Nathanya today Dr. Silver danied that he was anti-labor. “I have favored cooperation with labor and the estabishment of one labor organization, although #### the dictationship of one party; each party should receive its share according to its #### and the votes received,” he declared. Dr. Silver will leave for the United States Thurdsay and will be followed by Moshe #### on Friday.
