Eliozer Kaplan, Treasurer of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, left yesterday by plane for the United States where he will confer on financial and industrial matters and will also meet with Joint Distribution commitee leaders concerning coordination of refugee relief work.
It was announced today that a delegation of Palestine industrialists will leave on Thursday for London in response to an invitation from the colonial Office and the Board of Trade. The delegation, consisting of seven representatives of various industrial and trade interests, will discuss with British industrial and trade circles the possibility of closer cooperation between the United Kingdom and Palestine.
The Board of Trade has indicated a desire to obtain a comprehensive picture of Palestine’s requirements for the next four years, it is understood. While in London the delegation will endeaver to arrange mutually beneficial business relations with Britain for the post-war period. It will remain in England for about six weeks.
