Five British and seven Jewish Soldiers were injured in a clash between Jewish and British troops in a military camp near Tel Aviv, it was reported here last night. The incident occurred on Sunday evening and is being officially investigated, the announcement said, giving no further details.
About 200 Jewish soldiers who enlisted in the Czechoslovak Army in Palestine during the war returned to their homes here today, after waiting in Czechoslovakia for several months. Their return was opposed for a time by the Palestine authorities who considered them Czechoslovak citizens.
It was announced today that soldiers of the Jewish Brigade will remain in Europe after August 1. All members of the brigade will be demobilized and returned to Palestine, the announcement said.
