Jewish and Christian clergymen began an 11-day symposium in the Old City’s Jewish quarter Sunday aimed at fostering understanding between the two faiths and improving their relations. The seminar was organized by the International Council of Jews and Christians. It is being held at the Sapir Center for Jewish Heritage, named in honor of the late Pinhas Sapir who was Finance Minister in the 1960’s.
