Cooperation between Arabs and Jews is possible and in fact indispensable for the welfare and prosperity of the Near East, Emanuel Neumann, of the American Emergency Committee for Zionist Affairs, told 1,000 delegates gathered at the Hotel Plaza yesterday at the opening session of the nineteenth annual convention of the Junior Hadassah.
“When victory is achieved,” he said, “and an end put to the intrigues of Axis agents and their Arab Quislings, the ground will be clear for a new alignment in which Jews and Arabs, under genuine democratic leadership, will sit down together to work out a new democratic order for the Near East in cooperation with the leaders of the United Nations.”
