SENATOR SZERESZEWSKI’S ANNIVERSARY ALSO MARKS HIS FORTY-FIFTH YEAR IN PUBLIC LIFE. IN 1892, HE WAS ONE OF THE FOUNDERS OF THE JEWISH HOSPITAL AND A MEMBER OF THE FINANCIAL COMMITTEE WHICH FOUNDED THE JEWISH COOPERATIVE LOAN AND SAVINGS BANK. DURING THE WAR HE WAS ACTIVE IN HELPING JEWISH WAR SUFFERERS. HE HAS BEEN A MEMBER OF THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL SINCE HIS ELECTION IN 1908. IN 1922 HE WAS ELECTED TO THE POLISH SENATE.
