Sigmund Wollman, a young Jewish athlete, returned here from a nine months trip around the world on a motorcycle. Mr. Wollman crossed Poland, Czecho-Slovakia, Austria, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, England, Ireland, Spain, Morocco, Tunis, Egypt, Sicily and Italy. He was not permitted to enter Palestine.
Mr. Wollman crossed the Sahara Desert, that being the first time in the history of sport, it is believed, the Sahara was crossed in such a manner.
