Abraham Newman, 21, who worked as a mixer in a bakery, gave his life in an attempt to prevent an explosion which might have caused the death of others.
He had left the burning building after turning in a fire alarm but returned later to shut of a valve of the machinery to prevent explosion. He never came out again.
