Jewish barbers in Great Britain will be allowed to keep their shops open on Sunday, provided they observe Saturday, according to the Hairdressers’ Sunday Closing Bill which passed the House of Commons.
The passage of the bill was assured as a result of a compromise between the Hairdressers’ Association and the Jewish barbers. The Association agreed to the principle of the shops being closed one day a week, permitting the Jewish barbers to keep open on Sunday if they close on Saturday.
