An unusual spectacle was presented here today, when forty Jewish blind men marched arm in arm through the streets of Warsaw to the Belvedere Palace, the official residence of Marshal Pilsudski, Polish dictator. They submitted a petition asking Pilsudski to intervene on their behalf because they were starving and begging had been forbidden by the authorities.
Huge crowds watched the strange procession and all traffic on the route of the march was halted. The guards at the palace made no difficulties about allowing the blind men to enter the Belvedere to present their petition. They were received by an adjutant, who informed Marshal Pilsudski of the petition. The Polish dictator promised to help the blind men.
