A warning that representatives of the Spanish and Portuguese synagogues on the Board of Deputies of British Jews, who recently returned after walking off the Board for two and one-half years, would leave “not to return” if the Board affiliates with the World Jewish Congress, was sounded here last night by Neville Laski, British Jewish leader.
Dr. Abraham Cohen, president of the Board, denied that the Board had accepted” in principle” affiliation with the W.J.C. Other deputies also voiced their concern over the reports of imminent affiliation.
