Jewish Book Month, aimed at stimulating interest in Jewish literature and culture, begins tomorrow and will run until Dec. 7 under the sponsorship of the Jewish Book Council, a Jewish Welfare Board affiliate.
The observance will be marked by more than 300 Jewish community centers affiliated with the JWB and 2,000 synagogues throughout the country. In addition, many cultural and fraternal groups, literary clubs and civic and non-Jewish bodies are participating. There will be special radio programs, lectures, plays, exhibits and similar programs devoted to Jewish books.
