The 13th annual observance of Jewish Book Month begins tomorrow and will be observed by some 2,000 Jewish communal organizations across the country, including local Jewish Community Centers, Jewish Community Councils, Jewish book councils, synagogues, libraries and Jewish schools. Programs will include exhibits, lectures, book fairs, book dramatizations, library programs and radio and television shows featuring talks by and interviews with noted Jewish authors.
Jewish Book Month, sponsored by the Jewish Book Council of America, will also be marked in a number of military installations and veterans hospitals in this country under the leadership of Jewish chaplains. The Month will be also observed overseas at the National Jewish Welfare Board operations in Kaiserslautern, Germany Paris, France; Fairbanks, Alaska; Tokyo, Japan, and Balboa, Canal Zone.
