Zalman Kleinsweig, a Jewish bus driver, was shot early this morning as his bus passed the Arab village of Bethnaball, near the settlement of Rishon-Le-Zion, the oldest Jewish colony in Palestine. The vehicle was carrying three Arab workers returning home from the night shift at a nearby factory. As one alighted in Bethnabell, a shot was fired killing the Jewish bus driver instantly.
At a press conference today, Bernard Joseph, speaking in behalf of the Jewish Agency, strongly condemned the terroristic outbreaks which have taken place in Palestine during the last two weeks. “These acts,” he said, “are causing great damage to the Zionist cause and interfere with the political struggle for our future. We hope that those who are connected with this sabotage will realize their mistake and cease their activities.”
