Police today withdrew the murder charge against Isaac Szcerbewski, the Jewish butcher whose dispute with a Polish policeman, ending in the latter’s death, touched off the May 13 anti-Jewish riots here.

The butcher’s son, Wolf, who was arrested with his father, was formally charged with murder. His trial will start Tuesday.
