Thirty-nine persons, most of them Jews, were injured today when a bomb went off in a Jewish cafe. Seven of them were said to be in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, unidentified Czechs in the Mnichovo Hradister district destroyed the Germanlanguage road signposts put up after the occupation of Bohemia and Moravia. As a result the district chief for the Mnichovc Hradister area ordered complete stoppage of all road traffic between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. and clamped a strict curfew on the region.
The Nazi district leader warned that any violation of the ban would be met with prison terms and fines ranging up to 10,000 crowns, adding that even more stringent “disciplinary” measures would be taken to insure order in the event of further destruction of German signposts.
