Restoration work in Poland’s three principal Jewish cemeteries in Breslau, Warsaw and Lodz, which were in a state of neglect through abandonment during the war years and by a dwindling Jewish community, will be completed this month, a spokesman for the Joint Distribution Committee said today. Under JDC auspices, a special committee undertook to restore the cemeteries and to erect a monument in memory of Poland’s Jewish martyrs, he said.
