Police in the Bavarian town of Ansbach were today investigating the desecration of the local Jewish cemetery Sunday night. The town’s ?ayor, Ernest Koerner, has asked the city council to post a 3,000-mark reward for the apprehension of the persons responsible for the action.
Twenty-four tombstones were upset Sunday night. The cemetery was restored in 1945 after the American Army liberated the town. It was first desecrated by the ?azis in 1938.
