The Jewish holiday Shebuoth, the Festival of Weeks, will be observed on Friday and Saturday, June 14th and 15th. In ancient times this festival marked the beginning of the harvest in Palestine and was the occasion for bringing the first fruits to the Holy Temple.
This year the first day of Shebuoth will coincide with Flag Day. Jewish Centers will take advantage of this coincidence by arranging celebrations suitable to the observance of both occasions.
The Jewish Welfare Board has prepared a bulletin which contains references and suggestions for club programs and for mass celebrations, including readings, music, dances, games, tableaux, pantomimes, plays, motion pictures, and stereopticon slides.
