All Jewish chaplains of the Navy who are on duty within the continental United States and civilian representatives of their indorsing organizations met at the Naval Operating Base here and discussed religious problems arising in the Navy, including holiday observances and types of Jewish service.
Lieutenant Selwyn D. Ruslander, of Cincinnati, Jewish chaplain of the Fifth Naval District, was host to the conference, which lasted two days. He said it was the first of its kind in the history of the Navy.
