A publication serving a group of Jewish child care and welfare organizations in a large area, comprising five Southern states and the District of Columbia, made its initial appearance here today. Entitled “Jewish Children’s Service Reports,” the periodical is an organ of the Jewish Children’s Service, Inc., which includes among its members agencies in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina and Virginia.
An editorial by Dr. Irving H. Goldstein, president of the JCS, pledged to continue through its work, under the executive directorship of Eli Fahn, “to lend itself and its resources for the development of local community programs for care and service to Jewish children.” The first issue was dedicated to the organization’s two chairmen of the board emeritus, Albert E. Mayer and Armand May.
