The deterioration in health of Jewish elementary school children in East European countries was described in a statement issued today by the world OZE, Jewish health-protection organization.
Thousands of children are literally starving, the statement said. The situation was termed especially acute in Poland where the TOZ (Jewish health organization in Poland) feeds 31,000 children, also in Rumania, Lithuania and Latvia, where the OZE must food 6,000 children.
