Jewish Agency circles here today denied reports that Dr. Chaim Weizmann would lead or join the Agency delegation to the United Nations General Assembly session. They asserted that Dr. Weizmann’s journey to America in October was arranged long ago for the purpose of addressing meetings in behalf of the United Jewish Appeal.
The same circles also denied that he had conferred with government officials to the future of Palestine and that Sir Alan G. Cunningham and Lt. Gen. Gordon H.A. Macmillan, Palestine civil and military commanders, respectively, had participated in the talks. He saw Cunningham, but not for political reasons, they said, while he has not yet met Macmillan in England.
