Abraham Goldenberg, a clerk in a store in Jassy, who last October made an unsuccessful attempt to assassinate the Roumanian Minister of the Interior Vaida, was today sentenced to ten years in prison. When caught by the police Goldenberg declared that he wanted to avenge the death of a number of miners who were killed months before during a strike, in a fight with Roumanian soldiers. Five others arrested with Goldenberg were said to have been members of the Communist Youth Organization in Jassy.
