Jewish college students in New York are planning a demonstration to mark the 40th birthday of an Israeli airman who has been missing for 12 years. Similar demonstrations were held Tuesday in Israel, Europe and Latin America to call for the release of Ron Arad. Arad’s fighter plane was shot down over Lebanon in 1986. Israel officials have repeatedly maintained that Iran is holding him.
