The Jewish Colonization Association voted further financial support for the Agricultural Faculty of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem at its quarterly meeting here. It also considered various problems connected with the projected construction in Israel of an agricultural colony in conjunction with the Jewish Agency.
The J.C.A. also voted a grant for cultural activities to the DAIA, representative body of Argentine Jewry. It heard a report that the position of the J.C.A. colonies in Argentina had improved, and decided to investigate the possibility of setting up DP’s from Austria in farm colonies in South America. It also decided to expand its activities in the field of vocational training.
