Ten thousand pounds, approximately $40,000, have been sent to the British Government by the Jewish Committee in Argentine which is raising funds for Jewish Air Squadrons, it was announced here today by the Presidency of the New Zionist Organization.
The Jewish Committee in Argentine has, according to the announcement, asked the British Government that the first two planes bought from the above funds should be named “Herzl” and “Balfour”. The Committee has been invited to join the Interallied Committee of Argentine and is represented there by Dr. Jose Mirelman, president of the New Zionist Organization in that country.
