A statement issued during the week-end by the ?ral Jewish Committee regarding the refusal of the U.S. State Department to issue was to Adolph Berman, chairman of the Jewish Central Committee, and Jacob Egid, head the Central Committee of Lower Silesia, declares that “there is no possibility now the representatives of the Jewish survivors in Poland to make personal contact ##th their brothers in the United States who gave them and continue to give them moral ## material help.”
Polish President Bolesaw Bierut received Dr. Adolph Berman, former partisan under and deputy in the National Assembly and leader of the Poale Zion, and Shulim ##ek, of the Ziere Zion (the Tenua L’Achduth party in Poland.) President Boleslaw ?gratulated the two men on the merger of their respective parties into one unit. ##lier, they had been congratulated by Premier Josef Cyrankiewiez.
