The Edward L. Rothschild Memorial Building in Philadelphia, will be dedicated on April 10th. The exercises will take place in the Rothschild Auditorium. Henry W. Braude, vice-president of the Congregation and president of the Y. M. & Y. W. H. A., will be the chairman.
The building has been erected by Congregation Beth El in memory of the late Edward L. Rothschild, who erected the Synagogue in 1915 in memory of his parents, Lippman and Henriette Rothschild.
The building has an auditorium, a kitchen, a stage and a moving picture booth. There are eight class-rooms, a chapel, club rooms and offices for the Rabbi and the School principal.
A library has been equipped in memory of the late Max Bernstein.
BREVITY
Among the gifts totalling $206,841 received by New York University since the opening of the fall term, are the following: Altman Foundation, for the support of the Department of Fine Arts, Graduate School, 1925-1926, $20,000; Lucius N. Littauer, for studies in the prevention and cure of pneumonia, Medical College, $12,500; Franklin Simon for two scholarships in the New York University School of Retailing, $1,300.
