Dr. A. Leon Kubowitzki, chairman of the General Council of the World Jewish Congress, told a meeting sponsored by the American Jewish Congress here last night that Jewish communities overseas are sadly unfamiliar with the true status and staturs of U.S. Jewry. He praised American Jewry’s “blending of its deeply-rooted American patriotism and its solidarity with fellow Jews around the globe.”

Dr. Israel Goldstein, chairman of the Western Hemisphere section of the congress, criticized dissident groups “who by pretending to speak for majority segments of the Jewish people actually misrepresent the views of Jewry.” Dr. Nahum Goldmann, acting president of the Congress, stressed that a close inter-relationship between Israel and Jews throughout the world “will perpetuate the Jewish people.”
