A delegation representing the Federation of Jewish Communities of Brazil, today visited the Argentine Ambassador here, and submitted a memorandum in which Brazilian Jewry protested vigorously against the recent outbreaks of anti-Semitism in Argentina.
Dr. Aron Steinbruch and Dr. Gerson Berger, leaders of the delegation, pointed out to the Argentine Ambassador that, thus far, “not one of the perpetrators of the anti-Semitic outrages has been apprehended or punished.” The envoy promised to forward the memorandum to his Government in Buenos Aires.
The Federation also sent a message to DAIA, the central organization of Argentine Jewry, expressing Brazilian Jewry’s solidarity in this time of crisis and lauding Argentine Jewry’s “staunch self-defense against the Nazi hooligans.”
