Resolutions establishing the Central American Conference of Zionist and Jewish Communal Organizations on a permanent basis were adopted here at the conclusion of a conference of these organizations. The resolutions were hailed by the delegates as a development of great significance to the Jewish communities of this region.

The conference elected Erick Heineman, of Guatemala, as president and Ralph de Lima, of Panama, as vice-president. It also decided to reconvene in May 1964, in Guatemala City. The program laid out in the conference resolutions called for a boost in immigration to Israel and the establishment of boards of education and schools for religious Jewish education in the countries of Central America.
