The Agudath Israel world executive here today reported that the Jewish communities at Dresden, Hall, Leipzig and Erfurt–all in Communist East Germany–are continuing their religious practices. However, the report stated, they have requested phylacteries, Hebrew prayer books, and Bibles. Some Jews from the interior of East Germany are reported to have moved recently to East Berlin. There are about 1,800 Jews in East Berlin and East Germany.
