Jewish communities in four former Communist states established a scholarship for students in Jewish studies at the Central European University in Budapest. The $2,000 scholarship, contributed by Jewish communities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland, is seen as a step forward in cooperation among these communities.
