The Council of Jewish Communities met here today to map plans for the reorganization of the Moroccan Jewish community in the light of the new autonomous status of the country.
The Council accepted the resignation of Jacques Dahan, its general secretary, and decided to call a special meeting at which a “president general” will be elected. The forthcoming meeting will also discuss a structure for the Council which is composed of representatives of communities from various towns in Morocco.
