The Federation of Jewish Communities in Rumania reported today it had completed fencing around the ancient Jewish cemetery of Jassy, using prefabricated sections for the mile-long fence.
Cemeteries in several provincial towns, including Cluj, were fenced earlier last year but there are several such fencing projects which will be completed within this year. The Federation also reported it had recently repaired ritual baths in several towns where Jews are still resident.
