The Jewish Weifars Board. the national organization for Y.M.H.A. ‘s.## organization for Y.M.H.A.’s. Y.W.H.A.’s and Jewish Community Centers is preparing for the annal conventions of the state and regional Federations of these associations, wnion are to take place in the fall.
Three of these conventions in the New England States, Pennsylvania. and the Middle Atlantie States, will on held Sept. 3 to Sept. 5, inclusive.
The New Jersey II ederation of Y.M.H.A.’s and Y.W.H.A.’s, of which Felix Fuid of Neward is president, will hold its convention from October 8th to the 10th inclusive. at Trenton. N.J.
The Metropolitan League of Jewish Community Associations will convene in New York City on November 12th and 18th. under the leadership of Sol M. Stroock. the president.
The New York State Federation of Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew and Kindred Associations will hold its convention at Utica. N. Y. on November 12th and 13th. This Federation consists of all associations in the state with the exception of the metropolitan district and Westchester County. Joseph Hormats, of Troy is the president.
Holyoake. Mass. is the convention city of the Associated Y.M. and Y.W.H.A.’s of New England, Convention headquarters have been established at the Hotel Nonotuek. The program will inalade a symposium and disenssion on organization. athleties and eduation and the Jewish Center movement in smaller and larger communities.
Dr. Charles S. Bernheiner, of the staff of the Jewish Welfare Board. will lead the discussion on “Jewish Center Problems.” at the Middle Atiantic States Federation. which will be held in Norfolk, Va.
The convention of the Pennsylvania Federation of Y.M. and Y.W.H.A.’s will take place at the Blue Mountain Country Club. Strondsburg. Pa. The subject of discussion will be “The Program and Problems of the Jewish Center” Harry Michlosky, of Wilhes Barre. president of the Federation, will preside.
