The Jewish Community Council of Vancouver has depided to bar community publicity and mailing facilities to any fund-raising affair sponsored by a Jewish organization which has not received the prior endorsement of the Council. This means that any unendersed function will not be able to obtain space in the Jewish Western Bulletin, official organ of the Council, or use the community mailing list.
This move was taken in an effort to cut down the number of fund-raising affairs being run simultanecusly by different Jewish organizations. The Community Council had been operating a voluntary endersement bureau as a means of avoiding conflicting dates, but too many groups were not writing in for date clearance, thus necessitating more stringent regulation.
