The Canadian Jewish Congress today announced that it will begin compiling material on the history of Canadian Jewry since 1900 to be used in the publication in 1967 of a volume on the subject scheduled to appear in connection with the centennial observance of Canadian Confederation. Sheldon J. Godfrey of Toronto will be in charge of the project.
The early history of Canadian Jewry was already published by the CJC several years ago. That work, “History of the Jews in Canada,” was written by B. G. Sack of Montreal.
